Overview
Making friends, joining a group, or navigating a conversation doesn’t come naturally to every child. Our Social Skills Training program helps children develop the communication, emotional, and behavioral tools they need to build healthy, meaningful relationships—with peers, teachers, and family.
We teach social skills through structured, interactive lessons that help children connect, collaborate, and thrive.
What Is Social Skills Training?
Social Skills Training (SST) helps children and teens learn to:
- Start and maintain conversations
- Read body language and social cues
- Manage conflict and rejection
- Take turns and share
- Recognize and regulate emotions
- Practice empathy and flexible thinking
These skills are taught through modeling, games, group practice, video modeling, and real-time feedback.
Who Can Benefit?
Social Skills Training supports children with:
- ADHD
- Autism
- Anxiety
- Speech/language delays
- Shyness or social withdrawal
- Aggression or inappropriate social behavior
- Difficulties understanding social boundaries
Even children without diagnoses can benefit if they have trouble making or keeping friends, or if social interaction causes distress.
